Chopping with cupcakes

Help wanted: Has anyone spotted these knifes instore? They are by Kuhn Rikon and you can't buy them via their site. I checked John Lewis yesterday and will probably pop to Lakeland next week - if anyone has spotted them please let me know.

Update: I have found them online but if you know of a store, preferably in London, where I can buy the cupcakes ones that would be fab. I already have some plain ones I got in John Lewis and Lakeland some time ago -they're pink to go with my kitchen! Ta

Next ♥ cupcakes

It's Chrissssstmaaaaaaaaas.

Ok, it isn't. BUT it's just under 3 months to the big day and the Christmas gift guides are coming thick and fast. The best I've seen so far (thanks to the lovely Tcakes messaging me via my blog!) is the Next Christmas Guide.

Oh. My. God. It is cupcake-alicious. FULL to brimming with cupcake goodies.

First up is the cupcake stacking mugs. I have wanted someone to make these for ever, and now they have not only made them but they feature my blog name on them. It's basically someone telling me I must have them. Crockery ban be damned!

Next are these uber cute I ♥ cupcakes measuring cups. I know I have already got a few sets of measuring cups but these are too cute to resist. Must have.

Perfect for those cold Winter evenings and those times when a girl needs a hot water bottle is this cute little gift set. And I love the little cupcake mug.

Another must have since I broke my last one is the cupcake kitchen timer. Again something I've been after for a while (my Debenhams one died some time ago and they no longer stock them).

Perfect for my cupcake kitchen are the Time for Tea wall plague, cupcake prints, cupcake clock, cupcake apron, cupcake oven glove and I ♥ cupcakes tea towels set.

Not to forget the baking set and I ♥ cupcakes baking book.

And if you don't have an oven handy, what about this gorgeous cupcake maker. I've not been that tempted by these before but this one is soooo pretty I am quite tempted to get it.

Oh and the cake stand.

That sums it up pretty much, except for the photo frame, house mat and cupcake bank. Which I may need to save up for it all.

I want it all!!!!

Cupcake kitchen update

After mentioning on Twitter I needed to get a little kitchen blow torch someone kindly suggested Wilkinsons. I could hug the lovey lady right now as I'd never have thought of looking at their website as I didn't realise they had one near(ish) to me. Now I shall be heading over there asap to get some CUPCAKE WALLPAPER!!

I've been looking for cupcake wallpaper for some time, and to be honest had given up as I was tired of getting excited thinking I'd found some and then discovering it was just dotty or something and some twonk had called it "cupcake" ..grrr. Similar to this file box from Wilkinsons - where is the cupcake?

This wallpaper is by Graham and Brown, but is nearly half price at Wilkinsons so I know where I'll be buying it.

The plan is to paper one wall of our kitchen with this - anyone fancy popping over and wallpapering? Never done it before - except to help my mum, when I ended up covered in paste and paper with a very irate mother. It can't be that difficult - can it?

More cupcake shopping

A little round up up of a few new cupcake items in my life :)

First up, Winnie the Pooh Thirst Pockets featuring a double dose of cuteness - Winnie the Pooh and cupcakes. Now I generally use kitchen roll for cleaning and picking up cat sick (you're jealous of my glam life at this moment I betcha!) but isn't everything better with cupcakes on! I've bought these from Ocado, but I'm sure you can get them in any major supermarket.

This little notebook is from John Lewis, and is part of a range of cupcake goodies they have instore at the moment. I already have purse (although the cupcake dangler got lost on a drunken night out), and may have to get the tote bag for carting stuff to work.

I picked up this pink fluted dish in the John Lewis sale - although its not a cupcake item as such I love the cupcake logo they use on their baking/ovenware goods.

My new tea, coffee and sugar tins from Very as mentioned in a previous post taking pride of place in my kitchen :) I love these - even cuter than my previous Alessi tea and coffee jars. And no I didn't throw away my gorgeous Alessi jars - they now have herbal tea in instead :)

Finally a pair of socks I picked up for £1 in the Matalan sale - they've stolen my blog name!

Cupcakes for the kitchen

I love shopping online as you don't have to deal with people or getting there or carrying bags! One of my favourites is Very as they have loads of nice homewares as well and their latest catalogue features quite a bit of cupcake kitchenware. Yay I say. Boo says Manny.

First up is this gorgeous, and already purchased trio of tins for your coffee, tea and sugar.
Next is this lovely teapot set. I'm still contemplating whether I need another cupcake teapot, but I think the answer will most likely be yes. I adore the little milk jug and sugarpot!
I really like the cupcake design on this tin but I have a feeling if I buy any more tins Manny may stop talking to me altogether.

This cupcake apron, tea towel and oven glove set would be a perfect addition to any cupcake kitchen - again I have several cupcake of each item with cupcakes on so wont buy anymore - for the time being!

Finally, I love these placemats but we don't have a dining table so there's little point in me buying them, and we already have a few cupcake coasters in the house :)
My biggest disappointment with the collection is that the dining set doesn't have cupcakes on, instead having co-ordinating dots :( I'd love a proper cupcake dinner set!

I need to clear my kitchen out...

It's full already but I do need a large mixing bowl and this cupcake one from Debenhams will be a perfect replacement for the pink Mason Cash one that never seems to be in stock anywhere :(

And the matching utensil holder will look gorgeous in my cupcake kitchen! Also available is the matching cake stand. I hope they have more in the range when I get there!

Also getting in on the cupcake craze is Jamie Oliver with this cute mug - however, surely cupcakes are anti his war on obesity?

Some recent cupcake purchases

First a couple of new purchases from Robert Dyas -another worktop saver (I have about 7 now) and a magnetic memo board which I plan to use for my magnetic spice racks. Both are showing as sold out on the Robert Dyas website, however I've been in the Fleet Street one recently and they have loads. There are also some tins, trays and picnic wear to match.

The purse is from a little store we visited in Chichester when we went to the Swallow Bakery and the matching little notebook is from Peter Jones. The little wedding favour chocolate is also from Peter Jones (how cute would these be at your wedding!)

Tesco's currently have a cupcake range in store and I picked up another worktop saver(I know!) a placemat (for the cats!) and a little cupcake bowl. They have cake tins, biscuit tins and plates to match. They also have pink silicone bakeware - I got a balloon whisk and a pastry brush.

Finally a mousemat from the Paperchase cupcakes range.

And yes my house is getting full.

This plate by Takae Mizutani and Sons is just so cute and unusual - I love it!

Thanks to Domestic Sluts for pointing me in the direction of Hidden Art Shop.

Perfect additions to your cupcake kitchen

A couple of cute little bits from Debenhams for valentines day.

I have been meaning to get this cute little cupcake shaped sifter for a while now, but I've not been to Oxford Street since pre-Christmas and the thought of venturing up there again fills me with horror, but I know I must go get this as it matches my teapot and cookie jar!

I've already got the cupcake oven gloves, thanks to Manny, and I'm not saying oven gloves are the most romantic present but they've got cupcakes on so who can resist!

Love is in the air

Aren't these love heart themed cupcake toppers really cute - or am I just getting overly-romantic while searching for romantic cupcake ideas online?

Also available, a cupcake shaped trivet for your kitchen, and these lovely heart shaped measuring cups, perfect for measuring out cupcake recipes from America, or for porridge, which is what I mainly use mine for! And finally, something I'm hoping for for valentines, a pink mixing bowl...yes I know, a mixing bowl is an odd gift but I love these bowls, in fact I heart them (sorry couldn't resist!)

All available from the Cooks Kitchen, who also have some valentine cupcake cases.

All photos copyright Cooks Kitchen, and used with thanks.
